How to put an ad within your site

OK, so now the Kernel’s site is up and it’s time to start pushing for it.

To the right, you see my new ad. It’s simple, and is basically a drawing I took a picture of and worked on in photoshop for a while. It’s not the best thing in the world, but I like it better than just text. It’s also our new logo.

But I need all of you UKPJers to help. Here are instructions on how to put this ad on your wordpress.com blog.

1. Right click and save this ad to your computer.
2. Go to your blog and click Write as if you were going to post a new blog.
3. Upload the ad from your computer into your site.
4. Now click browse all in your image section.
5. Click on the ad.
6. Click the Edit link by its name.
7. Copy that URL and paste it into Word, Text Edit or another tab.
8. Close this post. You don’t actually have to do a post, unless you’re hardcore.
9. Go to Presentation in your main dashboard.
10. Click widgets.
11. Ad a text box.
12. Your widget will have a little option on the right side, click that.
13. Copy this in:
<img src=”HIGHLIGHT THIS TEXT AND PASTE IN THE URL YOU COPIED” alt=””K[mm]” />
14. Click the X and save changes.

Congratulations. You’re now supporting our site.

So… there is a link there, but not the picture. And when you click on it, it doesn’t go anywhere. Help! PS-How do I get my blogroll back?
